Application report - Wind power plants

Task:

An EU guideline specifies that machines may not be sources of any type of danger. At wind power plants danger can be caused by uncontrolled, excessive speeds.

That is why an approved speed-monitoring unit is required for these plants, which is operated separately from the plant’s control system.

Solution:

The speed monitor rotas is ideal for monitoring the rotor speed of wind power plants. It has a number of functions, which can be used to adapt it optimally to specific requirements.

Two separate switching points, adjustable hystereses, potential-free relay outputs and a variable signal input (PNP, NPN or sine wave signals) are just some of its features which can be programmed at the factory or individually on site on the keyboard. rotas has been approved by Germanischen Lloyd (GL) (certificate: 4284802 HH).
